Director of Health and Wellness, MovestrongTM, Adrienne specializes in exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control, and human anatomy. She is also skilled in the development of wellness programs, physical evaluations, and personalized exercise programs. Adrienne has experience working with special populations including elderly, children, disabled, cardio-respiratory, diabetic, and obese conditions.
Adrienne received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Science Kinesiology and a concentration in movement science. During her time at the University of Michigan, she became a James B. Angell Scholar and graduated with distinction.
Adrienne is not only a skilled Kinesiologist but she also has an established career as a professional dancer. Prior to attending the University of Michigan, she was awarded a scholarship for the Professional Program at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. There, under the direction of renowned instructor and choreographer Wes Veldink, she was able to continue her training with some of the most respected and well-known professionals in the nation and world.
Adrienne was a member of Rhapsody James’ hip-hop/street jazz company Rhapsody: The Company, Jared Grimes’ hip-hop/tap company TADAH, and Calen Kurka’s contemporary jazz company: Pushing Progress. She has performed in many different shows including Atom & Eve, Broadway Underground, “BARE”, and the off-Broadway show, “Beyond Words”. Adrienne can also be seen in the LIVE! At Broadway Dance Center’s instructional video, “Be the Music in Hip Hop”.
She has also had the privilege of teaching various activities in the Metro Detroit area for the past 9 years. Adrienne has been sharing her knowledge of yoga, strength and conditioning, aerobics, and multiple dance disciplines with her surrounding community.
Adrienne is dedicated to contributing to the health and well being of her clients and empowering them to live physically active and healthy lifestyles. Her greatest joy is to share her experience in nutrition, healthy living and disciplined exercise programs to maximize a client’s quality of life.
