Matthew attended Central Michigan University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2005 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2009. He strives to return patients to their desired levels of performance and ability through manual techniques, in conjunction with therapeutic and functional exercises and activities. Matthew tailors programs specifically designed for each individual with their particular goals and outcomes in mind. He is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from the McKenzie Institute, broadening his expertise in therapeutic methods for the neck, back, and extremities. He has taken continuing education courses focused on the Mulligan concept of mobilizations with movement, advanced manual therapy skills, as well as the use and practice of Kincsio Taping and Leukotape techniques. Additionally, he has been a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan as well as a former professor of anatomy and physiology at Baker College.
